The story takes a dramatic turn in chapter six when several members of Bethshan, Newcastle upon Tyne, leave to join Crawcrook Assembly of God during March 1958.
Maria's son was commissioned by the Lord to write the book in 1962. It was to be a book, which lifted up the power and glory of a supernatural God.
Little did the author know that he would not to be able to finalise the book until 1978 and would not conclude it until 1979.
During this time, negotiations carried on from the crippled, Crawcrook Assembly, with the Assemblies of God Property Trust, the Assemblies of God Executive Council and the Assemblies of God District Council. The lies that were told and the dirty deeds unravelled will leave readers who adhere to Christian principles, breathless.
One chapter entitled, 'The Watergate of Assemblies of God in Great Britain and Ireland', commences with the author and another member of the Assembly recounting the tale to the Executive Council at the Minehead conference in May 1975. Throughout the narrative of this dynamic chapter the author describes his pauses while speaking to the Executive to see if there is any reaction from them. He finally comes to the terrible conclusion that nothing will move them to any expression of sympathy. The horror story that enfolds leaves them cold and impassive.
But to the readers there is one advantage - the author discloses, sets down and authenticates the history with excerpts of their own minutes, documents and letters. The Assemblies of God minister conducting the case had tried to hide and keep them hidden, and when the author found them, tried to stop the documents being disclosed. These came into the hands of the author only weeks after the meeting with the Executive.
