The book commences in chapter one with the testimony and early life story of Maria Morley. A vivid description is given of the first vision she had and the prophecy of the Second World War, which was ridiculed at the time by many of her friends and relatives. The story continues of her persecution and life in the Crawcrook Assembly of God.

Ministers Hatred
A horror story is told of ineptitude and malicious, unwarranted hatred by pastors who served in the ministry there. One of the pastors, Aaron Linford who is called Albert Lawford in the book, rose to be on the Executive Council of Assemblies of God in Great Britain and Ireland. He is still alive today, being a member emeritus.

This man had given a sentence upon Maria to an Elder of the church, that she should be sat on her seat for life. Her 'crime' was that she had brought a young man back into the church after, because of Mr. Linford's oppression, he had fled out of a church meeting shouting that he was going to hell.

Throughout the terrible years from 1930 to March 1958, the Lord continued to train Maria in the spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit and inspiration from the King James Version of the Bible, showing her many things that would happen. Prophecies are recounted as the story surges through God declaring His interest in saving a church from being sold by the Assemblies of God Property Trust, which was headed by John Carter, the then enemy of Crawcrook Assembly of God, who was finally reconciled before he died.
